A Weekend Getaway

Sometimes the best gift is an experience. Treat someone to a winter escape in a Saskatchewan provincial park. Options range from cozy cabins and resorts to adventurous winter camping.

The following parks can be booked online for winter camping until March 15:

If camping isn't their style, you can find cabins, resorts, and glamping domes available in Sask Parks during winter as well.

A Skate the Park Experience

Give the gift of a magical winter experience. Starting Boxing Day (weather permitting), Echo Valley Provincial Park launches Skate the Park—a 909-metre skating loop winding through Aspen Campground. After dark, fairy lights illuminate the trail for an unforgettable evening.

While in the park, visitors can also play on the Ninja Warrior Course and zipline, check out the cross-country ski trails, rent a pair of snowshoes, browse the merchandise at the Visitor Centre, and book a Camp-Easy yurt.

Access to the skating loop and other park activities is included with a valid Park Entry Permit. 2025 Sask Parks Annual Park Entry Permits are valid until April 30, 2026 and can be purchased in-park. For those who don't have a permit, daily entry is $11 per vehicle. Purchase online or stop by the Visitor Centre.

Camp-Easy Stay in Echo Valley

Echo Valley Provincial Park is the gift that keeps on giving! If you're looking for a unique and cozy winter camping experience, consider staying in a Camp-Easy yurt exclusively in Echo Valley this winter. These heated yurts strike a perfect balance between comfort and nature, making them an ideal choice for those who want to enjoy the winter season.

While your loved ones are in the park, they'll have tons of unique activities right outside their door, like the famous Skate the Park and crokicurl — the ultimate combination of crokinole and curling. Plus, Echo Valley offers the perfect landscape for cross-country skiing, hiking, and snowshoeing to keep them entertained.
