Term length for all summer positions is May through August.

  • Most positions require some evening, weekend, and stat day work. All these shifts come with premium pay.
  • Some positions may be available from July to August for high school students.
  • Staff accommodation may be available in park.

To be eligible for student employment programs, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada; AND meet one of the eligibility criteria below:

  • Attending school on a full-time basis; and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic semester;
  • Enrolled in full-time academic studies and will graduate in the current academic year; or
  • Recently graduated from full-time academic studies within the last year.

Summer Jobs Available in Sask Parks


Lifeguards (starting at $19.84 per hour)

Are you a qualified Lifeguard, Swimming Instructor, or Aquatic Supervisor.

Working at one of the parks' outdoor pools offers a unique opportunity to spend the summer, meet diverse individuals, and contribute to a positive visitor experience across Sask Parks.

Responsibilities for these positions include leading swimming lessons and ensuring the safety of all pool visitors. A valid Lifeguard certification (National Lifeguard Service - LifeSaving Society) is required.

Employment dates typically run from June through August.

Available locations are:

  • Buffalo Pound Provincial Park (Near Regina and Moose Jaw)
  • Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park (Southwest)
  • Pike Lake Provincial Park (Near Saskatoon)

Park Interpreters (starting at $22.30 per hour)

Park Interpreters connect visitors to nature, history, and culture, creating memorable experiences within Saskatchewan's Provincial Parks. This role involves delivering a variety of programming, including guided hikes, environmental education, recreational activities, historical tours, and special event organization.


Park Gate Attendants (starting at $21.04 per hour)

Sask Parks' campground offices and park entry gates require individuals with excellent customer service skills to greet and assist park visitors with a friendly smile. Staff in these positions greet visitors, sell Park Entry Permits, and offer general visitor assistance.


Park Admin Representative (starting at $26.00 per hour)

This position supports the Park Administrative Supervisor and provides customer service for park visitors. As a frontline staff member, the individual provides customer information, processes accounts payable and receivable, and collects and processes park revenue.


Customer Service Assistant (starting at $24.08 per hour)

This position contributes to the Sask Parks headquarters team. The successful candidate is responsible for responding to customer inquiries on behalf of Sask Parks and providing exceptional customer service via email and phone. This role offers exposure to policy and procedure development. Experience in customer service and public relations, along with strong organizational skills, are considered assets.


Park Maintenance (starting at $18.719 per hour)

Maintaining Sask Parks' campsites, picnic areas, and beaches requires a team of skilled maintenance staff, tradespeople, and general labourers. Maintenance team members are responsible for the general upkeep of the parks, including the grounds and buildings.


Park Ranger (starting at $21.04 per hour)

These friendly faces are essential to running the park. The individual in this role is responsible for daytime park patrols, campground checks, and assisting visitors by informing them about park rules and programs. Experience in resource management, environmental law, public relations/customer service, and outdoor pursuits is considered an asset.
